More Than Singing

Singing is much more than producing beautiful sounds. It’s about communicating ideas, telling stories, and connecting with people. Healthy technique gives you the freedom to express yourself with confidence, but it’s what you choose to communicate with your voice, that truly leaves a lasting impression.

Healthy Technique

Healthy technique gives you freedom. Build an efficient vocal foundation through breathing, resonance, flexibility, range, and vocal care so your voice can respond naturally and confidently.

Meaningful Communication

Every word has meaning. Learn to move beyond simply singing the notes and discover how thoughtful interpretation can turn a song into a genuine conversation with your audience.

Confident Performance

Whether you’re preparing for an audition, stepping onto a stage, or singing publicly for the first time, you’ll learn how preparation, artistry, and confidence work together to create authentic performances.

Lifelong Growth

Your growth doesn’t end with one performance. Every lesson is an opportunity to become a more thoughtful musician, a stronger communicator, and a more expressive performer.

How We Work Together

Every student arrives with different goals, different experiences, and a different story. While every lesson is personalized, there are a few things you can expect every time we work together.

A Conversation First

Every lesson begins with a conversation. We’ll talk about your goals, your experience, and what you hope to accomplish. From there, we’ll build a plan that’s uniquely yours.

Thoughtful Practice

Learning isn’t about repeating something until it becomes automatic. It’s about understanding why something works and how it should feel. Through thoughtful exercises, questions, and experimentation, you’ll develop skills you can rely on every time you perform.

Curiosity Over Perfection

Mistakes aren’t something to fear. They’re often where the greatest discoveries begin. Together we’ll ask questions, explore new possibilities, and replace self-criticism with curiosity. That’s where confidence begins to grow.

Confidence That Lasts

The confidence you build here extends far beyond your next performance. Whether you’re walking into an audition, standing on a stage, or speaking in front of a room, you’ll carry these skills with you long after the lessons end.

In Their Words

Michael didn’t just help me sing better. He helped me understand what I was trying to communicate. I left every lesson more confident. Not just in my voice, but in myself.

Questions We Often Hear

Everything you need to know before taking the next step.

Not at all! While previous singing experience is helpful, curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to learn are equally important.

We teach students from upper middle school through adulthood. Some are preparing for college auditions, others sing in community choirs or churches, and many simply want to enjoy using their voice with greater confidence and freedom.

You! By the time you arrive, we’ll already have talked about your goals and what you hope to accomplish. Your first lesson is a chance to get comfortable, explore some of the techniques we use in the studio, and begin working on your first song.

Absolutely! Whether you’re preparing for a school musical, an honor choir, a college or conservatory audition, or another performance opportunity, lessons can be tailored to help you feel confident and prepared. And if you’re not auditioning at all, that’s perfectly okay too. Many students simply want to strengthen their voice, grow as musicians, and enjoy singing with greater confidence.

Lessons aren’t built around a single style of music. They’re built around you. Whether you’re preparing a classical art song, a Golden Age Broadway selection, a contemporary musical theatre piece, today’s pop repertoire, or something entirely different, we’ll choose music that supports your goals while helping you grow as a healthy, expressive, and confident singer.

Voice study is much like learning a new language or playing an instrument. Weekly lessons, paired with regular practice throughout the week, help you build healthy habits, strengthen your technique, and continue growing with confidence. Consistency is far more important than perfection.

Most people feel nervous singing in front of others. It’s completely normal. One of the greatest benefits of voice study is learning what to listen for. As understanding grows, doubt begins to fade. Over time, you’ll learn to trust your voice, not the voice in your head.

Let's Begin The Conversation

You don't have to have it all figured out.

Whether you’re preparing for an audition, returning to singing after years away, or simply wondering what’s possible, the first step is the same. We’ll talk about your goals, answer your questions, and explore what the next step might be.

No pressure. Just a conversation.

Every voice has a story worth telling. We’d love to help you discover yours.
