ABOUT

Experiences That Matter.

BeckRidge Productions exists to create meaningful musical experiences that inspire excellence, foster belonging, and strengthen communities. Touching lives, one experience at a time.

WHY WE EXIST

The Experience Lingers Long After The Performance.

We believe the most meaningful musical experiences don’t end with applause. They stay with us. They stir action, create friendships, offer comfort, inspire hope, and remind us that we belong to something larger than ourselves.

That’s why BeckRidge isn’t simply about concerts. It’s about creating experiences that continue to enrich lives for singers, audiences, students, volunteers, and our community.

Belonging

Everyone deserves to feel welcomed, valued, and encouraged to grow.

Excellence

Growth begins when we pursue excellence with a learning spirit.

Community

Meaningful performances begin long before the concert in building relationships.

Possibility

Every voice has the power to inspire.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE EXPERIENCES

No One Creates These Experiences Alone

Michael Gross
Executive & Artistic Director

For more than five decades, BeckRidge has been guided by one simple belief: when people feel welcomed, encouraged, and challenged, remarkable things happen.

Some of the most meaningful moments don’t happen during concerts at all. They happen during rehearsals, conversations, shared laughter, and the relationships that grow week after week.

Every rehearsal, lesson, performance, and event is made possible by people who generously share their gifts. I’m continually reminded that BeckRidge is strongest when talented people bring their creativity, compassion, and encouragement to those around them.

I’m grateful to share this work with Stacey, Teri, and Richard. Their gifts, dedication, and friendship help create the experiences our singers, students, and audiences enjoy throughout the year.

Stacey Swancutt

Collaborative Pianist

Stacey helps bring each piece to life, revealing its character, shaping its emotion, and supporting every singer along the way.

Teri Dilts

Collaborative Pianist

Teri brings warmth, enthusiasm, and dedication to every rehearsal, helping create an encouraging environment where singers feel supported and confident.

Richard Gilbert-Hill

Advanced Acting Coach

Drawing on decades of experience in television, film, and theater, Richard mentors aspiring actors, helping students build the confidence, skills, and authenticity needed for college auditions, professional careers, and meaningful storytelling.

OUR STORY

One Dream. Thousands Of Stories.

In 1973, choir director Bill Grimmer believed Plymouth needed something simple but powerful, an adult community choir where people could gather to sing together.

More than fifty years later, that same spirit continues through BeckRidge Productions. The ensembles, programs, and performances have evolved, but our purpose remains remarkably unchanged: helping people discover what happens when voices come together.

1973

A Place To Sing Together

Bill Grimmer believed Plymouth deserved a place where people could sing together, grow together, and find community through music.

That invitation is still waiting for every new voice.

1978

The Vision Grows

When Michael Gross became Artistic Director in 1978, he embraced Bill Grimmer’s vision and began building on it. As the organization grew, so did its commitment to helping singers discover their potential, audiences connect through music, and students find confidence in their own voices.

That same desire to grow still inspires every rehearsal and every performance.

2006

One Voice. Many Possibilities.

As the organization grew, so did its vision. BeckRidge Productions was created to offer more ways for people to learn, perform, and belong while honoring the Plymouth Community Chorus that started it all. With the addition of the BeckRidge Chorale, educational programs, and new artistic opportunities, the ways people could belong continued to grow, while the purpose remained unchanged.

That same invitation now reaches farther than ever.

2020

What Matters Most

The pandemic brought rehearsals and performances to an unexpected stop. It reminded us that the heart of BeckRidge has never been the performance. It’s the people. We missed the friendships, the shared purpose, and the joy of creating something together. When we returned, we came back with an even deeper appreciation for every voice in the room.

That same sense of belonging is waiting for every new singer.

THE NEXT CHAPTER

The Story Continues

Every rehearsal begins with a room full of people who don’t yet know what they’ll accomplish together. Every lesson begins with possibility. The next chapter of BeckRidge isn’t waiting to be written someday. It’s being written every week by people who choose to sing, learn, volunteer, support, and share the journey with us.

Perhaps the next chapter begins with you.
